P. V. Doyle founded the company in Dublin in 1959, beginning a family hotel business now chaired by his daughter, Bernie Gallagher. The current collection contains eight hotels across Dublin, Cork, London, Bristol, and Washington, D.C. Its range is wider than the luxury label alone suggests. The Westbury is a formal Dublin landmark, the three London hotels occupy distinct residential and cultural districts, and The Croke Park, The River Lee, and The Bristol operate as polished urban hotels with unusually strong local followings. The Dupont Circle gives the group its sole American address. Individual architecture, restaurants that function beyond the guestroom floors, and warm service provide the connective tissue. Join free at Silver. Eligible hotel spend earns DISCOVERY Dollars at 4% for Silver, 5% for Gold, 6% for Platinum, and 7% for Titanium. One D$ has a redemption value of USD 1 and can be applied at checkout toward eligible rooms, dining, spa treatments, and experiences. Status can be earned through nights, eligible spend, or stays across multiple GHA brands. Gold begins at two stays or USD 1,000, Platinum at 10 nights, USD 5,000, or two brands, and Titanium at 30 nights, USD 15,000, or three brands. Eligible direct bookings also receive Doyle member rates, currently advertised from 10% off subject to availability.
