Viceroy Hotels & Resorts began in Los Angeles in 1999 and now operates 10 current hotels across the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, Portugal, and Serbia. The collection is deliberately varied: water defines the architecture at Los Cabos, rainforest and the Pitons frame Sugar Beach, ski terrain anchors Snowmass and Kopaonik, and urban hotels translate the brand through the specific character of Chicago, Santa Monica, and Washington. The official directory also markets three African Bush Camps lodges through a partnership, but they are not Viceroy-branded hotels and are excluded from this portfolio. The Observatory in Sun Valley and Viceroy Park Avenue are also excluded until they open. Viceroy participates in GHA DISCOVERY, giving direct-booking members a real rewards currency, published status thresholds, and recognition across the wider alliance.

How it works

Join free at Silver level and book an eligible rate, preferably through Viceroy or another qualifying direct channel. Members receive a published member rate and earn a percentage of eligible spend back in DISCOVERY Dollars. D$ can be applied to eligible hotel charges at checkout. Gold requires two stays or USD 1,000 in eligible spend. Platinum requires 10 nights, USD 5,000 in spend, or stays with two participating brands. Titanium requires 30 nights, USD 15,000 in spend, or stays with three brands. Benefits and earning exclusions follow the current GHA DISCOVERY terms, so confirm eligibility before choosing a rate.

Who should care

Repeat Viceroy guests, travellers who also stay with other GHA brands, and guests with meaningful on-property dining or spa spend that can earn D$.

Who can ignore it

One-time guests using an ineligible rate, or travellers whose advisor benefits clearly exceed the member-rate discount, expected D$ return, and status recognition.

The official Viceroy page states that eligible earning ranges from 4 to 7 percent in D$, depending on tier. Taxes and other excluded charges follow current programme terms.
