Gorilla trekkers must be 15 or older under park rules. Treks run 2–8 hours on steep, muddy slopes. Porters are worth booking at the gate.
Kigali is about three hours. Last stretch is rocky. Nights are cool; fireplaces are not decoration. The camp is unfenced.
