The Chancery Rosewood Gives Its Guest Rooms a Different Kind of Occupant
London Invitational brings 12 galleries to The Chancery Rosewood through October 18. The final public session offers a smaller alternative to Frieze.
The Chancery Rosewood is hosting the inaugural London Invitational, with 12 galleries occupying a floor of the former US Embassy during Frieze Week. The art fair runs through October 18, 2026, giving visitors one final Sunday session to see contemporary art inside a working Mayfair hotel rather than a conventional exhibition hall.
Can you still visit today?
The organiser's official visitor information lists Sunday's public hours as noon to 4 p.m., London time. Tickets are available through the fair's website. The opening Thursday was invitation only; that restriction should not be confused with the public sessions that follow. Check ticket availability before travelling to 30 Grosvenor Square, especially with such a short window remaining.
The exhibition is an event within the hotel, so an overnight reservation and an art-fair ticket serve different purposes. Visitors planning lunch, a gallery visit and onward travel should arrange each part separately rather than assume a room booking covers admission. Equally, someone who only wants to see the fair can start with the organiser's ticket page.
Which galleries are taking part?
The roster includes Charles Asprey and Vardaxoglou from London, alongside a substantial US contingent. Among the participants are François Ghebaly, LOMEX, Marinaro, Broadway, EUROPA and James Cope Gallery. The small field gives visitors a manageable selection to explore during a busy art week, without trying to reproduce the scale of the main Frieze fair.
Why does the hotel setting matter?
The Rosewood property occupies the former US Embassy and operates as an all-suite hotel. Its official site places art, music and design at the centre of the experience, alongside restaurants and Asaya Spa. Bringing dealers into guest-room settings extends that cultural role beyond the lobby and public spaces.
For travellers already in London, the appeal is the combination of a concentrated gallery visit and a distinctive Mayfair address. The fair is temporary, however. Someone planning a later autumn stay should judge the hotel on its accommodation and regular amenities, rather than expect this particular exhibition to continue. For today's visitor, the practical priority is simpler: secure the ticket, leave enough time to look, and check the closing hour against the rest of the afternoon.
