Four Seasons Chiang Mai Gives Its Festive Tree a Local Purpose
Four Seasons Chiang Mai announces festive dining and cotton ornaments supporting cancer care. Check 2026 dates directly before booking holiday meals.
Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai has announced a festive programme with a local thread: staff-made ornaments using Chiang Mai cotton will decorate the lobby Christmas tree, and proceeds from keepsake sales will support a cancer-care project in Thailand. The October 21 announcement pairs that initiative with holiday gatherings running from Thanksgiving into New Year's Day.
For guests planning a seasonal stay in Chiang Mai, the appeal is a choice of gatherings rooted in the resort's setting. The practical task is to match the right meal to the right date, because the hotel's linked seasonal page has not fully caught up with the new announcement.
Which celebrations are on the new calendar?
The release places Thanksgiving barbecue dining at NORTH on November 26. Christmas Eve brings dinner and live music at Rim Tai Kitchen, while Christmas Day offers lunch there or a family-style prix fixe dinner at NORTH. The December 31 celebration is planned for the Cocktail Lawn with food, music and Lanna dance; KHAO hosts a meal on January 1, 2027.
That gives families several formats to consider. A lunch, a quieter dinner and a countdown serve different needs, especially when children or older relatives are travelling. Choose the atmosphere and timing first, then ask the resort which reservations fit your party.
Why should guests double-check the seasonal page?
When checked for this article, the page linked from the release still showed Thanksgiving on November 27, rather than the November 26 date in the new 2026 announcement. Its older dining prices should therefore not be treated as quotes for this year's events.
Request the current menu, starting time, adult and child prices, taxes and cancellation terms directly. Check whether your preferred meal can be reserved by itself or is tied to a room offer. A room booking should not be taken as confirmation of a holiday dining table unless the hotel expressly includes one.
What does the ornament initiative add to a stay?
It offers a small way to engage with local craft and the resort's charitable effort alongside the larger celebrations. The announcement does not name the cancer-care beneficiary or state an ornament price, so guests who want to contribute can ask the team for those details before purchasing.
Travellers with specific dietary, seating or accessibility needs should send them with the dining enquiry. Getting a written response before arrival is more useful than trying to settle those arrangements during a busy holiday service.
