Four Seasons Geneva's Festive Season Has a Later Date for Rooftop Plans

Four Seasons Geneva starts its festive season November 26, with Izumi's winter lounge following December 1. Families should also check the spa's age rule.

Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva has set November 26 as the start of its 2026 festive season, but rooftop plans follow a separate calendar. In the hotel's October 29 announcement, Izumi's Winter Lounge begins December 1, with shabu-shabu at the centre of the seasonal offering.

For guests considering a late-November escape, those dates are worth separating. The wider festive programme can be under way without the winter rooftop experience being available. Anyone travelling specifically for the lounge should confirm a December sitting before fixing their stay.

What changes for a December visit?

Izumi's lounge centres on broth served at the table, with meat, seafood and vegetables for guests to cook. Christmas Eve brings a separate Japanese festive dinner, while New Year's Eve adds live music and DJ sets across the sixth floor and rooftop. These are distinct occasions, so ask for the menu and reservation terms for the actual night you want.

The broader hotel programme includes afternoon tea, children's creative activities and seasonal spa treatments. The announcement does not supply a complete price list or a daily timetable for every workshop. Families should request the dates, age requirements and charges for the activities that matter to them.

Can children join a parent at the spa?

The release specifies age 12 and above for the Dreamy Bonpoint Massage alongside a parent's chosen treatment in a duo room. That threshold is a useful planning detail for families with younger children: general family programming does not mean every wellness experience is available to every age.

Ask the spa to arrange both appointments together and confirm the respective treatment lengths. The practical appeal is sharing a room, so two individually available slots would not necessarily create the same experience.

Do you need a hotel room to join the celebrations?

The hotel's Christmas page says festive dining welcomes visitors as well as resident guests. That gives travellers already staying elsewhere in Geneva a way to book a meal or tea without changing hotels.

Use the dated announcement for the new season's programme and request the current menu when booking. Some details on the general Christmas page differ from the new release, including the description of the take-home Christmas dessert. If that is part of your plans, obtain the 2026 specification and collection arrangements directly rather than assuming every seasonal webpage has been updated together.
