Le Mas Bellevue Brings Oetker to Saint-Tropez With a Village-Scale Surprise
Le Mas Bellevue targets June 2027 in Saint-Tropez, with 78 rooms across 11 houses. Oetker appoints a familiar Riviera leader as guests await rates.
Le Mas Bellevue will bring Oetker Hotels to Saint-Tropez in June 2027, with 78 rooms and suites distributed across 11 interconnected houses. The hillside layout gives the forthcoming hotel the scale of a small hamlet, with a private terrace or patio promised for every accommodation.
What has changed in the run-up to opening?
The group has appointed Géraud Tournier as general manager, according to an Oetker press release published October 13. He will also remain general manager of L'Apogée Courchevel. Simon Bannelier is promoted to lead Château Saint-Martin & Spa.
For guests who already know Oetker's French addresses, the appointment supplies an operational connection to the new property. It also moves the story beyond a design rendering: a named leader is preparing the hotel for its first season. It does not, by itself, establish which dates or facilities will be bookable.
Is this a beach hotel or a village base?
The official hotel page places the rebuilt property between Saint-Tropez and Pampelonne's beaches in Ramatuelle, describing each as roughly five minutes away by car. This is a hillside address, so travelers wanting to step directly from their room onto sand should ask more about beach access and transport.
Triptyque is responsible for the architecture, with interiors by Gilles & Boissier. Plans include an infinity pool, a wellness facility, a bar and a restaurant. The design uses local stone, aged tiles, climbing plants and wooden pergolas. The accommodation layout is worth discussing when booking: ask about walking routes, steps and the position of a room relative to the pool or restaurant.
What should guests establish before booking June?
The published opening target is a month, not a specific first night. The hotel page directs booking enquiries to its reservations team. Ask for the confirmed arrival date, room category, opening facilities and cancellation terms before attaching nonrefundable travel to the plan.
A private terrace or patio is not a promise of a sea view. Request the outlook explicitly, together with any transfer arrangements needed for beach days. Those details will matter more to a week in Saint-Tropez than the hamlet description alone.
