- North Island has operated independently under family ownership since 1 July 2025, when it left The Luxury Collection; current bookings are handled directly.
- Guests may arrive by third-party private helicopter charter or arranged boat or yacht. Marriott's older overview also contains a contradictory helicopter-only line.
- Sunset Bar is the current West Beach name. Marriott's older page uses Sunset Beach Bar and West Beach Bar for overlapping descriptions and also mentions Piazza Bar.
