North Island is an independently operated, family-owned private-island stay in the inner granitic Seychelles. An official notice published on 8 April 2025 confirmed the resort would leave The Luxury Collection on 1 July 2025, with bookings handled directly by North Island. Across 201 hectares are 11 handcrafted villas: ten 450-square-metre Beachfront Villas opening to East Beach and one 750-square-metre Villa North beside Grand Paloss. Both categories accommodate up to four guests and have private plunge pools. Exclusively Yours reserves all 11 villas and island amenities; it is a whole-island arrangement, not a third villa category.
Settle transfer and terrain before arrival. North Island offers a 15-minute helicopter charter from Mahé International Airport, or an arranged boat or yacht taking 45 minutes to one hour depending on weather and sea conditions. Beachfront Villas open to East Beach, while Villa North has elevated decks beside a granitic incline. North Island does not publish a steps-only rule, bed plan or formal villa-accessibility specification, so guests with mobility requirements should obtain current villa-specific guidance before reserving.
The current dining programme has three named sections. The Piazza is relaxed, open-air East Beach dining for Creole-inspired dishes with a European twist. Sunset Bar is the West Beach setting for light bites, wood-fired stone-baked pizzas and cocktails. Destination Dining can be arranged at Honeymoon Beach, The Cross on Spa Hill, poolside, in-villa or under the stars; private and in-villa dining are arrangements within that programme, not additional venues. North Island publishes no current dining hours, weekly closures, notice periods, seating limits or inclusion terms. La Vie Spa is on Spa Hill, but current treatment names, hours, age rules and inclusion terms are also unpublished.
The current website does not itemise a board plan or a chargeable-extras schedule. A booked villa explicitly includes its private plunge pool, direct beach access and a separate study that can be rearranged for families; Exclusively Yours covers all 11 villas, the island and its amenities. Confirm meals, drinks, transfers, spa, private dining and activities in writing. East Beach changes with the seasons as winds and currents redistribute sand, and the beaches remain active Hawksbill and Green Turtle nesting habitat.
Book North Island for an 11-villa conservation island, direct beach or granite-hillside settings, and highly flexible dining. Skip it if fixed restaurant and spa timetables, a published bed plan or formal mobility specifications are essential. Tripadvisor currently scores the resort 4.6 from 123 reviews, while trivago's multi-site rating index is 8.9 from 190 ratings.

- East Beach changes size seasonally as currents and winds move sand around the island.
- Family ownership is current. Historically, one resort page says Norisco bought the island in 1997, while another attributes the purchase to Wilderness Safaris and private shareholders.
- Tortoise counts differ by source and date: more than 130 on the homepage, about 170 after a March 2025 translocation on the conservation page, and 80 to 100 in Marriott's older overview.
- Current villa and spa mobility details are not published. Marriott's older information combines selected accessible routes with an interior-corridor statement that conflicts with the detached villas.
