Aman Kyoto Rooms & Suites
Twenty-six rooms and pavilions sit on garden paths rather than hotel corridors. Guest rooms are 60 square metres with hinoki baths, tatami, and tokonoma — Susuki and Susuki Terrace face east toward the Kamiya River (the terrace adds 20 square metres); Nara and Kaede face west maple and moss. Takagamine Suite has one bedroom, a tatami room, Western living, dining, and a kitchen above a stone wall toward Higashiyama. Takagamine Pavilion is 226 square metres with two ensuites. Washigamine Pavilion is 241 square metres with two ensuites, a Mount Hiei view, and the most secluded sit. Ask for Susuki versus Washigamine, and ground-floor terrace versus first floor, when you book.
