Cambridge House Auberge Opens Bookings for Its Piccadilly Palace Debut

Auberge Collection is taking reservations for Cambridge House at 94 Piccadilly, a 102-key Grade I mansion opening 1 February 2027 with Major dining.

Auberge Collection is now taking reservations for Cambridge House, its first United Kingdom hotel, set to open 1 February 2027 inside the Grade I-listed Georgian mansion at 94 Piccadilly in London. The 102-room property sits between Green Park and Shepherd Market as part of the Reuben Brothers' regeneration of the Piccadilly Estate, and it marks Auberge's push deeper into European city luxury after recent openings in Florence and Geneva.

The house has a long guest list of its own. Built for the 2nd Earl of Egremont in 1756, it later housed the Duke of Cambridge, hosted Queen Victoria, and served as Lord Palmerston's stand-in for 10 Downing Street while he was prime minister. From 1865 to 1999 it was the Naval and Military Club, better known as the In & Out. Auberge and the Reuben Brothers are turning that clubhouse-palace hybrid into a hotel with private residences, a three-floor wellbeing wing, and a members' club due later in 2027.

What guests can book first

Public reservations currently start with stays from 1 April 2027, after the February soft opening window. Jean-Louis Deniot is designing the hotel and guest spaces. Laura Gonzalez is handling the bar, wellbeing floors, and the members' club. The spa stack includes hydrotherapy, a heated pool, six treatment rooms, a circular lounge with a fire pit, a gym, studios, wet and heat rooms, and a bathhouse, which puts Cambridge House in the same conversation as London's heavier spa hotels rather than a room-only townhouse.

Dining is the other early hook. Major's, a new concept from Major Food Group (Carbone, Torrisi, ZZ's Club), will take the restored Georgian ballroom and courtyard. The kitchen is promising British ingredients, seafood towers, caviar service, and a deep meat, fish, and game list, with a bar program that includes ten martini variations. For guests who already plan London nights around Claridge's, The Connaught, Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, or Raffles London at The OWO, Cambridge House adds an Auberge-branded palace play on Piccadilly rather than another Mayfair tower.

Why the timing matters

Auberge Collection opened Collegio alla Querce in Florence and The Woodward in Geneva in 2025, and it already lists Domaine des Etangs in France and Grace Hotel on Santorini among its European stays. Cambridge House is the UK flag. The Knox in Dallas is also aimed at 2027, and earlier this year the company launched Auberge Safari across nine Tanzania camps, so London is arriving inside a wider international year rather than as a one-off.

Rates on the hotel site have been listed from roughly £800 a night for a House Queen, with larger terrace suites climbing into the thousands. Guests who care about opening-season access should treat February as the operational start and April as the first freely bookable stay window, then confirm whether Major's and the full spa floors are live on their dates. For a city already dense with heritage ultra-luxury, a 102-key Auberge conversion of a prime-ministerial townhouse is one of the clearer 2027 additions on the Piccadilly strip.
