Park Gstaad's Four Seasons Debut Slips From Winter to Summer 2027
The historic Park Gstaad will now reopen as a Four Seasons hotel in summer 2027, after renovation ambitions pushed the debut past the 2026-27 ski season.
Four Seasons has shifted the reopen of The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel to summer 2027. The alpine landmark in Gstaad, Switzerland, had been aimed at the 2026-27 winter season. Opened in 1910 as Gstaad's first five-star hotel, the Park is owned by Dona Bertarelli and is being redeveloped with Squircle Capital. French designer Joseph Dirand, who also shaped Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club, is leading interiors. General Manager Reto Moser, appointed in spring 2026, is overseeing the transition to Four Seasons standards.
What guests will find when it opens
The reimagined hotel will hold 75 rooms and suites, including penthouse residences, plus a small collection of branded private residences for sale. Seven restaurants and lounges are planned, spanning a live-fire grill, Japanese omakase, and Swiss classics. Wellness will include indoor and outdoor pools and spa treatment rooms dedicated to Clinique La Prairie, a Swiss medical-spa partnership that matters for guests who book alpine stays around recovery as much as skiing.
Alpine Lounge and Alpine Concierge services are meant to package winter and summer activities on property.
