Rosewood Hong Kong Keeps the World's No. 1 Hotel Title for a Second Year

Rosewood Hong Kong tops The World's 50 Best Hotels 2026 again, while Rosewood also wins Most Admired Hotel Group and places four hotels in the top 25.

Rosewood Hong Kong has held the No. 1 spot on The World's 50 Best Hotels 2026 list for a second consecutive year, after also finishing first in 2025 and third in 2024. The awards, unveiled in Paris, keep the Victoria Harbour Rosewood estate at the top of a ranking voted by more than 800 anonymous hospitality experts across 13 regions. Asian hotels took six of the top ten places, with Capella Bangkok second and Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River third.

For guests deciding where to spend a milestone stay, the ranking is a practical signal: the same Tony Chi-designed vertical estate that already draws food, spa and art travelers now carries back-to-back global No. 1 credentials. The hotel counts 413 rooms and 186 Rosewood Residences, eleven dining concepts and Asaya Spa by Guerlain, with a rotating art programme and cultural access framed around Hong Kong's creative scene.

Where else Rosewood placed

Rosewood Sao Paulo jumped from No. 24 to No. 6 and took Best Hotel in South America. Hotel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel landed at No. 14 on Place de la Concorde. Las Ventanas al Paraiso, A Rosewood Resort in Los Cabos sat at No. 25. On the extended 51-100 list, Rosewood London placed at No. 56, Castiglion del Bosco at No. 62 and Rosewood Bangkok at No. 70.

Beyond individual hotels, Rosewood won the Ferrari Trento Most Admired Hotel Group 2026 award from the same academy, a brand-level nod for place-led hospitality rather than a single-property trophy. Sonia Cheng, Rosewood Hotel Group's CEO, framed the result as shared credit for associates and host cities, not only a marketing win.

What to book if you are chasing the list

If No. 1 is the brief, Hong Kong is still the Rosewood booking. Harbor-facing suites, Asaya programming and the estate's food lineup are the practical reasons people stay, with the ranking as confirmation rather than the only draw. If you want the brand's regenerative urban story, Sao Paulo's Jean Nouvel tower and art-heavy interiors are the climber to watch. Paris and Los Cabos cover palace and desert-coast moods inside the same loyalty and service language.

The 50 Best Hotels list launched in 2023 after the restaurants and bars rankings, and it now functions as a shortlist for travelers who filter by peer reputation instead of star plaques alone. Rosewood Hong Kong's three-year run inside the top three, including two straight No. 1 finishes, is rare at this tier. Capella Sydney's recent Michelin Key climb and other Asia-Pacific awards stories show how crowded the prestige lane has become; holding the global top slot twice is the clearer guest-facing headline.

Expect demand spikes around awards season for peak harbor view categories. If dates are flexible, shoulder periods in Hong Kong still give a cleaner read on service and dining without awards-week noise.
