Armani Hotels & Resorts currently consists of two operating hotels created through Giorgio Armani's collaboration with Emaar Properties. Armani Hotel Dubai opened in 2010 as the first, occupying the concourse through level 39 of Burj Khalifa with 160 rooms and suites, six named dining venues, and a 12,000-square-foot spa. Armani Hotel Milano followed in 2011 inside Manzoni 31, a rationalist 1937 building in the centre of the city's fashion district. Its 95 rooms and suites sit below panoramic dining and a 1,000-square-metre top-floor spa. Both hotels use Giorgio Armani's personally directed interiors: curved lines, controlled lighting, muted stone, dark timber, and custom Armani/Casa furniture replace conventional grand-hotel decoration. The service concept is similarly discreet and residential. A future Armani Hotel has been announced for Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, but it is not open and is excluded. Armani-branded residences in Dubai, Miami, and other projects are also outside the hotel count.
