Pérgula is the Copacabana Palace's all-day Brazilian and Mediterranean restaurant and the operational heart of the property when the Italian room is dark. It sits by the iconic pool with a direct relationship to the beach and runs from breakfast through dinner — Neapolitan-style pizza, grilled Brazilian meats, Mediterranean plates, and the hotel's ritual Saturday feijoada with samba school energy. Sunday brunch and the seasonal Grill do Pérgula are the other set pieces. This is where Rio's social scene and hotel guests actually mix; quiet romantic dinners are the wrong ask. Use it for breakfast with a view, long lunches, and the feijoada if your dates land on a Saturday — then take fine dining to Mee. Breakfast here with a pool outlook is the correct start to a Copacabana day; dinner is better taken at Mee unless you specifically want the social noise. During renovation periods when the pool is offline, Pérgula's role as the hotel's communal dining room becomes even more central — confirm hours and which terrace sections are open on arrival.
