Lounge Dining is Le Manoir's informal counterweight to the two-star room — a welcoming lounge menu for guests who want to eat well without committing to the full tasting arc, plus in-room dining for late arrivals and quieter nights. It has always mattered more here than at most country-house hotels because many guests stay two nights around a single flagship dinner; the lounge is how the second evening and the post-cookery-school lunch work. Expect a shorter, garden-aware menu rather than a diluted copy of the main restaurant. During the 2026–27 closure the lounge programme will be rebuilt with the rest of the culinary spaces under Donckele's direction — the role it plays (flexible, resident-focused, still serious about produce) is the part worth carrying forward. Historically it saved two-night stays from feeling like a single dinner with a leftover evening — use it that way when the property reopens. It is also the practical answer after a full Cookery School day when nobody wants another three-hour tasting menu the same night.
