Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel returns to Maundays Bay on October 10, opening its 40th-anniversary season with a house rum, a Guerlain spa treatment Belmond calls a Caribbean first, and a December residency from James Beard Award winner Gregory Gourdet.

The Belmond resort on Anguilla follows the island's usual mid-August to early-October hurricane-season pause. This year the reopen is more than a soft restart. Cap Shack, the beach bar and grill, gets a design refresh and a cocktail program built around CAP RUM, a small-batch, barrel-aged spirit made exclusively for the hotel with Sint Maarten's Topper's Rhum.
