Copacabana Palace Opens Latin America's First Dior Spa on November 3
Belmond's Copacabana Palace will open Latin America's first Dior Spa on November 3 with six rooms, Rio-only treatments and a boutique beside the Pool Wing.
Copacabana Palace, A Belmond Hotel will open Latin America's first Dior Spa on November 3, 2026, on a full floor of the renovated Pool Wing Wellness Club facing the hotel's famous pool. After Venice and Taormina, Rio de Janeiro becomes the first stop for the Belmond and Dior partnership outside Europe.
The spa lands with six treatment rooms, including one double, a Dior boutique and a lounge a few steps from the water. Guests and outside visitors can book daily from 10am to 8pm. Prices already listed on Belmond's site start at 1,300 BRL for a 60-minute treatment, with signature 90-minute experiences at 2,350 BRL. For travellers timing a Rio stay around the Pool Wing reopen, the Dior floor is the clearest new reason to choose a suite above that pool rather than a key in the main building alone.
Treatments built for Rio, not a copy-paste menu
Dior worked with Brazilian dermatologist Dr Maria Bussade on two Rio-only treatments. The Couture Radiance Facial mixes massage, Les Crins Précieux dry brushing and microcurrents over 90 minutes. The Carioca High Sculpt is a body treatment aimed at detox and tone in a Brazilian sculpting style. The Healing Heart Ceremony is unique to Copacabana Palace: semi-precious stones and singing bowls, framed around the energy of the Atlantic across Avenida Atlântica.
The wider Haute Wellness menu includes Kobi-Dior, a Kobido-inspired facial with cryo stones co-created with Dior wellness expert Hadda Akrim, and New Look Dior, a body treatment that blends sculpting, drainage and microstimulation. The boutique will be Rio's only address for La Collection Privée by Francis Kurkdjian and L'Or de Vie skincare with Château d'Yquem extracts, plus Prestige and Dior Maison lines making their Brazil debut.
How the spa sits inside the Pool Wing
The Dior Spa occupies one of five wellness floors in the Pool Wing, which returns with 68 suites and lifts the hotel to 208 rooms and suites. The Copa Wellness Club around it adds Technogym fitness, a yoga and movement studio, Brazilian jiu-jitsu space, contrast therapy with infrared sauna, hammam and ice bath, a Suco Bar of juices and coffee, plus a hair salon, barber and Beauty Lounge for event prep. Bar do Copa and a new Italian restaurant by Nello Cassese complete the poolside circuit.
The Dior link is not random branding. Marc Bohan showed haute couture in the palace gardens in 1961 and later shot swimwear on Copacabana Beach. More than sixty years on, the house is moving into the 1923 landmark that still defines the beachfront social calendar. For guests, that history only matters if the appointments are bookable. Confirm Dior Spa slots when you lock the suite, especially for November opening weeks when the wing, the spa and the new bar will draw both hotel guests and day visitors.
