Corinthia Plans a 50-Suite Grace Bay Hotel as Its Caribbean Debut
Corinthia will develop a 50-suite hotel and branded residences on the last undeveloped Grace Bay beachfront parcel, with construction eyed for 2027.
Corinthia Hotels is heading to the Caribbean. On September 23, Corinthia Group said it will develop an ultra-luxury hotel and branded residential project on Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos with Carolina Partners Ltd., using the last remaining undeveloped beachfront parcel on that stretch of shoreline.
Corinthia Real Estate Ventures will lead the development. Corinthia Hotels will manage the finished resort. Plans call for a 50-suite Corinthia hotel plus fully serviced branded residences, including beachfront villas, casitas, and condominiums.
The Cummings family assembled the Grace Bay site over more than 25 years. Partnering with Corinthia keeps density low while attaching a European ultra-luxury operating brand that has been expanding beyond its London flagship into Rome, New York, and Brussels.
What is planned on Grace Bay
Beyond rooms and residences, the master plan includes a spa and wellness centre, multiple pools, a beach club, signature restaurants, retail, padel courts, and lifestyle programming. Architecture is meant to lean on understated design, natural ventilation, and a tight indoor-outdoor link with the Caicos Banks shallows.
- 50-suite all-suite hotel under the Corinthia brand
- Branded villas, casitas, and condominiums with hotel service
- Spa, beach club, restaurants, retail, and padel courts
- Construction currently expected to begin in 2027, pending planning approval
Why Grace Bay travelers should watch
Grace Bay already anchors the islands' luxury scene, including neighbors such as Amanyara. A low-density Corinthia on the last open beachfront parcel changes the future competitive set without turning the bay into a high-rise strip.
For Corinthia, the project is also a North America beachhead for its real estate arm. Guests who already book Corinthia's European flags get a warm-weather family and villa option on one of the Caribbean's most photographed beaches, once planning clears and construction starts in 2027. Until keys open, the announcement mainly matters for anyone comparing future Grace Bay villa inventory and brand-managed residences.
