Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo: A Belle Epoque Monte Carlo palace with 26 published accommodation categories, Alleno dining and direct Thermes Marins access.
Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo is the quieter Belle Epoque palace just off Casino Square, on Square Beaumarchais, with sea, harbour, city and courtyard categories that need to be chosen precisely. The house publishes 26 current accommodation cards: 18 rooms, junior suites and suites, then eight Diamond Suite categories. The official inventory count does not reconcile cleanly: current house material has appeared as 259 keys, 262 rooms and suites, and 277 rooms and suites, so guests should not treat any one total as settled. Keep the stay scoped to the Hermitage itself: Pavyllon, L'Abysse, Le Limun, Salle Belle Epoque, Gustave and seasonal Le Jardin Belle Epoque are the current hotel roster; Thermes Marins, L'Hirondelle, L'Atlantide and Monte-Carlo Beach Club are resort facilities guests can access or use, not Hermitage-only venues.
Use the first day to pin down the parts where names and seasons matter. Book L'Abysse before arrival because the canonical page makes it a Tuesday-through-Saturday dinner restaurant and other house text has shown a different dinner window. Reserve Pavyllon for lunch or dinner, ask whether Le Limun will follow the live 21:00 close or the official 2026 leaflet's later close, and treat Salle Belle Epoque as a private-event room rather than a daily restaurant. Confirm breakfast inclusion and location, room service expectations, Thermes treatment times, the Grand Prix weekend wellness exception, and seasonal Beach Club dates before building days around them.
An ordinary room stay includes Wi-Fi, direct access to Thermes Marins outside the Formula 1 and Historic Grand Prix weekend exclusions, and seasonal Monte-Carlo Beach Club access as printed on the room cards. The Beach Club benefit should not be stretched into year-round beach privileges or every rental item: the current 2026 beach and pool pages give an April-to-October season, and cabanas, water sports, food, Kids Club and special equipment need to be treated as extra unless a booked package says otherwise. Diamond Suite services add breakfast, one return Nice-airport transfer per stay, luggage unpacking and packing, resort limousine use and a Guest Relations contact; the Michelin-starred in-suite menu is available but the room cards describe ordered food as additional.
Thermes Marins is central to the booking, but it is not a private Hermitage spa. It is the 6,600-square-metre Monte-Carlo SBM wellness, fitness and preventive-health complex linked directly to the hotel and also used across the resort. The wellness area, pool, solarium, sauna, steam room, whirlpool, gym and changing rooms run daily 07:00-21:00, with return to changing rooms by 20:45, while treatments, beauty, hair, food, drinks and boutique purchases are extra. Children under 12 need an adult; under-fives cannot use the sauna, steam room, cold bath or ice fountain; and fitness begins at 14 with adult authorisation for ages 14-17.
Book Hotel Hermitage if you want the Monaco address, a softer setting than the Place du Casino front door, precise suite choices and Alleno-led restaurants without making the stay only about Le Louis XV. Skip it if you want one self-contained resort campus, a hotel-only spa, a guaranteed sea view from every category, a private pool, or simple venue hours that never require reconfirmation. Tripadvisor shows 4.6 out of 5 from 1,978 reviews, with location and cleanliness strongest and value the lowest published category. Google Hotels shows 4.7 out of 5 from 1,951 Google reviews, and its direct summary repeatedly surfaces service, restaurants, breakfast, luxury, pools and location as guest themes.

First day
- Arrange the Nice airport, Monaco station or resort transfer plan and send identification details for every guest, including minors.
- Confirm the exact booked room category, outlook, terrace or jacuzzi promise, connecting-room request, cot request and any PRM requirement directly with reservations.
- Reserve L’Abysse for its Tuesday-Saturday dinner window, Pavyllon for lunch or dinner, and any private-event use of Salle Belle Epoque or other salons through the events team.
- Ask whether Le Limun follows the live 09:00-21:00 card or the official 2026 leaflet’s later close during the stay dates.
- Confirm breakfast inclusion and Eiffel Mezzanine arrangements; ordinary room stays do not have a universal breakfast inclusion, while Diamond Suite service does.
- Book Thermes treatments, arrive 20 minutes early, and check Grand Prix weekend exclusions or maintenance closures before relying on wellness access.
- For Beach Club plans, confirm the 2026 season dates, shuttle or valet arrangements, and which loungers or paid extras are available for hotel guests.

Category breakdown
Guests Love
Location, polish and cleanliness
Tripadvisor gives location 4.9 and cleanliness 4.8 out of 5, while Google review themes repeatedly mention the central Monaco location, luxury feel and well-kept public areas.
Service, restaurants and wellness access
Tripadvisor scores service 4.7 out of 5, and Google’s direct review summary repeatedly surfaces service, upscale restaurants, breakfast and indoor or outdoor pool access as praised themes.
Guests Warn
Value trails the strongest categories
Tripadvisor’s value category is 4.1 out of 5, below its location, cleanliness, service and rooms scores, so the premium needs to make sense for the exact room and season.
Rooms and response speed are not universally praised
Tripadvisor’s review summary praises spacious, stylish rooms but also says some visitors suggest updates and faster service, so category choice and expectations matter.
The overall score is a review-count-weighted average of named public platforms, normalized to /10. Category scores — including cleanliness and location — are Hotel Flock editorial readings of those reviews, not a platform's private formula. Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice
Tripadvisor direct property listing, checked 2026-08-31
In the stay
- Wi-Fi and the standard hotel services printed across the current room and suite cards.
- Direct access to Thermes Marins for Hermitage guests, outside the Formula 1 and Historic Grand Prix weekend exclusions and any announced closure.
- Seasonal access to Monte-Carlo Beach Club, its beach and Olympic seawater pool as a hotel/resort benefit subject to the dedicated seasonal rules.
- Cot availability on request across room cards, with connecting configurations only where the individual card prints them.
- Diamond Suite service benefits: breakfast, one return Nice-airport transfer per stay, luggage unpacking and packing, resort limousine use and Guest Relations contact.
Usually extra
- –Breakfast for ordinary rooms unless the selected rate includes it; Eiffel Mezzanine breakfast is published as an additional-charge service.
- –Restaurant, bar, room-service and Michelin-starred in-suite food and drink unless a booked package or Diamond service explicitly includes the item.
- –Thermes treatments, beauty, hair, boutique, restaurant and bar purchases.
- –Monte-Carlo Beach Club cabanas, special rental equipment, water sports, food and Kids Club unless the booked package says otherwise.
- –Parking, dog charges, early room access, late checkout and cancellation penalties under the selected booking terms.
Good to Know
- Inventory counts conflict across house material: 259 keys, 262 rooms and suites, and 277 rooms and suites all appear in house material, so no single total should be treated as settled.
- The live accommodation roster has 26 categories, including eight Diamond Suite categories; retired Diamond Suite 740 is not current because no live card or sitemap entry remains.
- Check-in is 15:00 and checkout is before noon; a morning room or late checkout depends on paid terms, approval and availability.
- Thermes Marins access is direct and described as complimentary for hotel guests, but the by-laws exclude Formula 1 and Historic Grand Prix weekends and allow maintenance or exceptional closure.
- Monte-Carlo Beach Club access is seasonal and off-site. The 2026 dedicated beach and pool pages give an April-to-October season and do not make every rental item or activity complimentary.
- Children’s meal benefits apply only under the current age, menu and venue rules; they exclude room service and L’Abysse.
- One dog up to 15 kg is accepted with a daily charge, but dogs are prohibited at Thermes and most restaurants except the current Le Limun, Gustave and Pavyllon exceptions.
Editor's Note
Choose the exact room card before the room family, then plan restaurants, Thermes and Beach Club as separate reservations with separate rules. The best stays keep Hermitage-only venues distinct from wider Monte-Carlo SBM resort benefits.
