Cheval Blanc St-Tropez: 32 Wilmotte rooms on Plage de la Bouillabaisse, a Guerlain spa, and La Vague d’Or dark on Wednesday

Cheval Blanc St-Tropez sits on Plage de la Bouillabaisse, at the entrance to the village, a few minutes from the centre. The official list is 32 rooms and suites plus Villa Riviera, interiors by Jean-Michel Wilmotte, with Roger Capron and Bernardaud in the house. The Cheval Blanc Spa is Guerlain. The kitchen that pulls the stay is La Vague d’Or — three MICHELIN stars, Arnaud Donckele — and it is not open every night.

Lock the tables and the room by name on day one. In the summer season La Vague d’Or is open every evening from 19:30 to 21:30 except Wednesday. Wednesday is Riviera Nights on La Terrasse: Provençal cooking and live music under the pines. If the three-star room is why you came, do not build a short stay around a Wednesday. Breakfast and lunch sit at La Terrasse under the pines. Le Bar Restaurant covers lunch, snacks, and dinner for resident guests by the pool. Carte Blanche is in-room dining, 24/7, including picnics, and it is not a restaurant. Guerlain hours are extra. The hammam and snow rooms are on reservation only.

Ask for the room by the view and the floor. Courtyard Classic is 30 square metres on the courtyard, not the sea. Atelier Sea is 20 square metres, mansard, first floor, and the index lists it for one guest. Superior Sea is 27 square metres with a bay terrace. Deluxe Sea is 35 to 40 square metres on the ground floor. Prestige Sea is 30 square metres on the first floor. Junior suites run from a 45-square-metre courtyard plan to a 66-square-metre first-floor Deluxe Junior Sea. The Sea Suite is 45 square metres with two terraces; Ground Floor Suite is 55 square metres on Bouillabaisse with a 40-square-metre terrace; Duplex Sea is 55 square metres over two floors, stairs only, pool access. Duplex Pinède is 90 square metres over two floors. Heure Bleue (70 square metres) and the two-bedroom Sea Suite (90 square metres) sit in a maison a few steps from the hotel. Villa Riviera is 400 square metres, four bedrooms for eight, a heated infinity pool, and a private chef on request.

The stay is not all-inclusive. Confirm whether breakfast at La Terrasse sits in your rate. Dinners, Guerlain treatments, and the hammam reservation are extra. The official contact page does not publish a transfer time; confirm the car from the airport or the boat with the house. The spa, restaurants, and hotel are listed as accessible to people with reduced mobility — Duplex Sea is still stairs only.

Book this if you want a small Wilmotte house on Bouillabaisse, a resident beach, and you will time the week around La Vague d’Or or a Wednesday Riviera Night. Skip it if you need a large room in the main house (guests keep saying the rooms run small), a three-star table on a Wednesday, or a hill villa with a private pool that is not Villa Riviera. Tripadvisor scores it 4.7 from 302 reviews; Trip.com scores it 9.4 from 15.

First day

  1. Confirm the transfer to Plage de la Bouillabaisse with the house. The official page does not publish a drive time.
  2. If you want La Vague d’Or, you need a summer-season night that is not Wednesday, reserved with the room.
  3. If you arrive on a Wednesday, Riviera Nights on La Terrasse is the published dinner.
  4. Plan breakfast at La Terrasse. Confirm it is in the rate.
  5. If anyone cannot do stairs, do not take Duplex Sea. If you are two people, do not take Atelier Sea.

Guests Love

  • A beach house a few minutes from the village

Tripadvisor is 4.7 from 302. Guests keep the Bouillabaisse setting, a walk or house car into the village, and a resident beach that still has a breeze when other bays do not.

  • Service and the Donckele table

Guests keep the team by name, breakfast at La Terrasse, and dinner at La Vague d’Or when they can get the night.

Guests Warn

  • Rooms that run small for the rate

Some guests reported the rooms as the weak point — luxe, but small, with few large categories in the main house. Look at Pinède, the two-bedroom, Heure Bleue, or Villa Riviera if space is why you came.

  • A Wednesday that misses La Vague d’Or

In the summer season the three-star room is dark on Wednesday. That night is Riviera Nights. A two-night stay that includes Wednesday can miss the tasting.

The overall score is a review-count-weighted average of named public platforms, normalized to /10. If La Vague d’Or is why you came, keep Wednesday out of a two-night stay. If you need space, look at Duplex Pinède, the two-bedroom Sea Suite, Heure Bleue, or Villa Riviera — not Atelier and not a Courtyard Classic.
